got a 361 and would like to go coastal cruising... what is a practical dingy and where shall i store it... i would prefer a non inflatable cause i suspect it rows easier... don't want an outboard cause its heavy and tends to need work.. and i could use the exercise rowing..
also i was thinking of getting a wind vane so i cant stow it aft..
whats a good dingy either plastic or wood, light weight, possibly with rubber around the top rim so not to bang into things... and where can i put it on board so its not in the way..
thankx your answers...pn

We've actually had good luck with the Walker Bay 8 footer. It's light, easy to row (I didn't want an outboard......I have enough stress in my life.) Walker Bay's are available at WestMarine and they occasionally run them on sale, so you can save a few bucks. They also have an optional sail kit which we bought. The dinghy is light enough that you could haul in on the foredeck with a spare halyard (which we also installed for our chair when we need to go aloft.
