Mine is...

I have a 356 with a wing keel and a full batten main. It's rating is 150 T, and it may be adjusted upwards before too long. I went through a lot of research and numbers prior to approaching my local PHRF to get rated. The boat is actually a 34'6" hull, with a larger sail area than the Hunter 340. I had a 320 prior to the 356, and had been fighting battles with PHRF on a low rating for the 320, so they knew where I was coming from. I have found most Hunters to be rated low, and have pushed for adjustment whenever I can. I can supply all of my data for your fight, along with a copy of my current rating. I beg you to please do not accept a low rating because there is no data on the boat (typical response for a PHRF board.) They will only add 3-6 seconds a year, and that will discourage you from racing, which will perpetuate the low rating. The more that race, the more data, and the truer the rating will become. Steve, I would like a copy of your information as well. I am currently appealing my rating here in the Chesapeake (129). We have the full main, Shoal draft, folding prop. Its hard to be competitive with a number this low. We had to give 45 sec's/mile to a Columbia 36. Email me at robert.dejong@mindspring.com Thanks

Steve, I'd appreciate a copy of your data, too! Please email me at chuckwayne@comcast.net. We've got the shoal keel, rf main,3 blade prop and I'm expecting the usual fight from the local board... Thanks, Chuck Wayne H356 #198 WWW.Escape
