35.5 questions

On a 1994 35.5 Legend, where is the engine hour meter located? Also where is the hull I.D. number located?

Meter and ID

Kent, I believe the 35.5 is the same as the 37.5 for these two things. An hour meter is not standard on the diesel. If you want one you have to add one. The hull ID number is on the starboard rear quarter topsides, just below the toe rail, and just aft of the holding tank vent. Robert Pancza

Hull #

I sold mine, but I thought the Hull # was under the starboard storage in the cockpit and my engine had no hour meter.

There is no hour meter on my 1992 35.5 either. The HIN is located on the starboard topside forward of the transom and under the toe rail. It is about 1/2" high and is molded into the gel coat. The HIN is required by federal law on all boats built after 1970. The number referred to by another owner as being in the starboard cockpit locker is most likely the Federal Documentation number and is normally carved into an attached board.
