331 Furling Main

Has anyone sen any performance comparisons on a 331 between the furling main and the conventional main? The furling main has approximately 20% less sail area and no battens.

I have a 331 with furling main. When comparing sail area you should look at the total area including the 130 genoa. If I remember correctly I think the total sail area reduction is is less than 8 percent for the furling main. The only performance comparison measure I have seen is that evidently the PHRFNE allowance for the furling main is 6 seconds per mile - perhaps someone can confirm this number as I have it second hand.
