We went out over the extended weekend, had been motoring for about 4 hours, met a dredge in the middle of the river, backed off the throttle, turned, hit the throttle again, and it was barely pushing 1200. When we got to looking, the throttle cable had melted and the cable itself wasn't being pushed through the wiring jacket. It wastoo close to a brass U fitting that getsextremely hot. My dealer has addressed and fixed the problem by re-routing the cable a different way, and also notified Hunter.

What about shift cable problems i

I've noticed that my shift cable, after going thru a "pin down" mounted on the engine just above the tranny, does lean heavily directly on the hot exhaust elbow and has shown some melt down of the red (Shifter) cable insulation. Has anybody else experienced this ? You just cant bend it away from the elbow. Jim McCue
