Just Bought C-309, Hull 36
We just received our new 309 2 weeks ago. This is my 4th Catalina (C-15, C-22, C-25 before). I fell in love with the 309 at the Austin boat show. The boat has been engineered for easy sailing and maintainance. It has an in-mast furling system and I find it very easy to handle. My wife really enjoys the spacious and light cabin. We can easily fit 6 adults in the cockpit. The electrical and plumbing systems are very straight forward. I just finished installing a stereo system, which was easy because the boat came pre-wired for speakers, there was an existing cutout for a stereo unit at the Nav Station, and the wiring behind the Nav Station is organinzed and clear.
