I bought one 100 days ago

I took delivery of a 2002 306 exactly one hundred days ago. I have sailed it 27 times both in the Gulf of Mexico and on the bay. I sail it solo and with crew. I carefully selected it taking into account my own particular needs and wishes. It has been a terrific boat. It is easy to sail, moves very nicely in even 7' seas. It motors at 7 kts, and I've sailed it at 7 kts often, and on one occasion 8+ kts. It usually cruises at around 5-6.4kts. I have the furled main and like it very much. It makes solo sailing in brisk winds possible. Below it is plenty big enough for four folks comfortably, and very nicely appointed. All in all, I'd do it again. I've added Raymarine HSB2 integrated electronics. I particularly like the autopilot and chartplotter/radar units. I think your friend will enjoy it.

Got mine July 26,02

I took delivery of an H306 in July. Hull ID # indicates it is an 03 model and has changes from other 02 306's I have seen .....like the chart table is HOIZONTAL instead of angled like the previous boats which annoyingly limited use as a flat surface.MOST SIGNIFICANT upgrade is the Whitlock PEDESTAL like on the H356 .....this is MUCH better than the old "dishwasher"style pedestals that Hunter has used previously. We knew there was a leak in the aft berth area when the boat was delivered but after persistence on the part of Norton's Yacht sales it and a few other minor problems have been resolved. I can't say enough good things about Norton's and their service. We are very pleased with the boat although due to weather and schedules we have not sailed much. Shortly after we got it the guy who has worked on our previous boats came on board to have a look. As he was going down the companionway steps he said "so this is a 34 footer ?" As he continued to look he was impressed with what he saw compared to older Hunters. I think the 306 is a great value and hope your friend would be pleased.
