Hello,I'm new to the site. Just bought an '85 Pearson 303. Seems there were a few more problems than just everything leaking. In addition to lots of core rot, I am now looking at a rotted chainplate. In addition to the bulkhead brackets being broken. Anyone know of a bone yard with parts? I need a starboart chainplate. (Stress-corrosion cracking.) As an alternative, can anyone think of a reason not to run a 2x1/4 flat bar out the boat with out the 90 degree welded turn and using a more normal chainplate cover/ cap at the deck? Or weld over the existing plate (below the bend). That would let me align the holes easier (I think). Thanks, Tom
