I have read different accounts of my rudder fludder problem at speeds above 4 knots. My 3 bladed prop is now 13x12, and I see recommendations of 13x11. Will changing to a 13x11 correct my "fludder" problem?

Flutter in the rudder.

Hello, By changing the pitch of the propeller you may also change the characteristics of the prop wash , which is feed off the back of the blade. If the flutter of the rudder is being caused by the prop wash, I would first try to alter the position of the propeller to the position of the rudder. This can be done by splitting the coupling halves apart and inserting a spacer. The will drive the propeller closer to the rudder causing prop wash to strike the rudder in a different place. This can be done in the water and could be far less expensive then changing out a prop or re-pitching a prop. Hope this helps. Kevin
