I want to change my 16-11 2 bladed fixed prop for a 3-blade fixed model for my O'Day 37. The engine is a 30hp Yanmar Diesel with 1 1/4" dia shaft. What diameter and pitch is working best on these boats? Please email me at sabadashr@mar.dfo-mpo.gc.ca

Replaced my 2 blade w/ a 3 blade
Ron, check out this web site for campbell sailor prop. they helped with size and pitch and my boat is like a different boat with the new prop. cost of prop was cheaper than a Michigan propeller and faster service.

Dear RAD: I have been looking to replace my 2 blade Michigan prop on my O'Day 322 with some thing else, but after speaking with the major folding, feathering prop reps at the Annapolis show last fall I was more confused than ever. Please tell me about your experiences with your new Campbell 3 blade prop, forward as well as reverse thrust. I have a Yanmar 20 hp on my 322. Thanks, Ed

3 blade prop
Hi Ed, I went thru the same thing doing the reserch on folding feathering & whatever,my head was spinning and then there was the cost of these things.I stumbled on to the North x North web site and emailed them for a qoute.as it turned out I had to pull the boat for an emerg. repair and figured for the low cost lets get it.The performance was outstanding!the first thing I noticed was you don't have to rev the engine to get a response when backing up it's instant and smooth also prop walk is not as bad. you have better control.In forward the boat is doing 3+ knots when idling I have to neutral & reverse when approaching my slip I also noticed a smoother running boat but that maybe due to my close tolerance when realigning the shaft(spend a lot of time doing this!) and installing a drivesaver flex coupling. I did all this other stuff and had my old 2 blade prop reconditioned before I put the Campbell sailer prop on so the difference was instant. RAD
