I have a 91 Capri 26 Sailboat with a two blade prop. I am considering moving the boat to Charleston harbor which means it will be fighting the current and tides. The two blade is very mich underpowered for this task. So, I am going to replace the two blade prop with a three blade prop. Can you tell me what make, model, ect. and where to order it from??? Here is my specs Engine: 2 cylinder Inboard, Universal Model 2-12, 10 HP, Diesel PROPELLER: 12" Dia x 7" Pitch Right Hand, 1" Dia Shaft

3-Blade Prop

Consult your Engine manual (or Universal Diesel dealer) for the recommended size/pitch for your engine AND transmission ratio. Ensure your blade diameter doesn't exceed the one specified for that boat by Catalina; suffient blade/hull clearance is needed to minimize cavitation. By the way, you may just verify that your 2-Blade prop is properly sized for the Engine, hull, and transmission; could be the reason you don't have the power. Also, ensure that your engine is operating properly. --Ron

Reduction gear

Hello Tim: I will need the reduction gear from you. The fact that you suggest to me that the propeller may be undersized means I should start from ground zero and use all available specs. Sincerely Kevin.
