I did get my 2QM20 to start-up successfully today after 6 years of dry dock. Thanks to all that responded with great advice to my previous post. After a lot of cleaning, replacing some of the cooling and exhaust hoses and impeller, cleaning all of the fuel filters, replacing the engine and tranny oils, bleading the fuel system and spraying WD40 in the intake for 15 to 20 revs without compression, she fired up on the 4th try.I ran the engine for 30 minutes starting at low RPM's and working my way slowly up the scale as she warmed up. I used a 5 gallon bucket with a garden hose and drew cooling water from it through the raw water strainer. Oil pressure, charging and water temp were all normal.I stopped the engine after the firts run of 30 minutes and inspected for leaks, etc.. She started back up after the first few revs without any problems. The project is moving along. The mast will be re-stepped this tuesday with newly painted non-skids on the deck. Now on to flushing and re-commisionning the water thanks, installing the new pedestal guard with electronics, wiring, etc.. Hopefully ready to splash in 10 to 14 days!!!Richard1979 H37C Rhapsodie
