2GMF Yanmar Tach

I'm only getting around 2400 RPM's out of my tach on my Yanmar 2GMF. Changed all filters and installed a new exhaust riser kit. Neutral or in gear same problem. Also checked the throttle linkage at the pedestal and at the engine. Injectors check out OK. That leaves me with the tach. Either the dial or sending unit is bad. Has anyone changed out the sending unit on this engine? Where is it located? Picture would be great. Thanks Steve

Question

By "exhaust riser," do you mean the elbow? That's often the culprit. Suggest copying message onto Yanmar web site.
