My 1992 30T has been plagued with the infamous copper washer scandal since I bought the boat in 96 (otherwise, this is a fantastic vessel) I have lived with the fuel aroma, and have almost come to like it. But, at the New England Boat Show, the regional Yanmar distributor had several of their engines on display. I found out that the newer 2GM's have a revised fuel distribution system eliminating the wretched washers. The chief mechanic said retrofit was not a particularly difficult chore, so it will be done...FYI
