2GM or 3GM Yanmar for 28.5?

I hate to sound dumb after owning my 28.5 for nearly a year, but, can anyone tell me which Yanmar diesel model it has or does it vary?

2 GM for 2 cyl. 3 gm for 3cyl.

Never heard of a 3GM in a 28.5. Maybe it could be done.Count your compression levers almost on the top of the engine right of the valve cover side when facing the belts.

2 cyl. Yanmar

Most certainly a 2GM20F, 16hp.@3400rpm.Should be a plate w/serial # on front of engine.
