Looking for any owner input on a late model 320 or the new 326. I've had my 290 for only one season, and I think it's time to upgrade already. Not that there's anything wrong with my 290 - it's a great boat. But I'm getting that new-boat fever, and unfortunately, I can't afford a 356 or 386 right now!

Hi gregg I've heard the 326 18 hp motor is same as our 290 but could use more power its bigger and heaveir ,I really like the 340 the 2000 model has the ss arch instead of the fiberglass and is really a nice step up over the 320 -326 check them out ,compare price also.

320

I have a 320 that I have used for 2 seasons. We looked at the 290 before we bought, but went a little bigger. We are happy with the 320, both for cruising and club racing. We have spent up to a week or so cruising Lake Huron, and a few overnight races. You should have no trouble going from the 290 to the 320/326. The 326 is about the same as the 320. The upgrades were in the handholds below deck and the countertops. The downgrades were the floor decking was made lighter by going with less width. Otherwise basically the same boat. I added a fair amount of upgrades and changes to make mine more livable. Larger bilge pump and shower/ice box sump, dual house bank, electronics, refrigerator, etc. By the way, we just moved up to a 356, so I know where you can get a really good 320 if your interested. 326

We are very pleased owners of a new 326. Have spent one season on Lake Erie, three one-week trips, several long week-ends and many daysails. Our previous boat was a Hunter 28, the 326 has met all our expectations. It is a very comfortable boat to sail and cruise in. We are anxiously waiting for spring and another season! If you have any specific concerns, please feel free to email me directly at tlharmer@ncyc.net.
