29' Gulf Coast Sloop

Does anyone know anything about the Gulf Coast Sloop. I recently purchased this vessel a 1973 29' Gulf Coast Sloop. Boat was in very good condition but owner did not know much about the manufacturer as he was the third owner.I have no manuals or history and just looking for a starting place to build information.Thanks for your help I know someone out their knows the history.

Gulf Coast sailboats

In the early 70's, there was a Gulf Coast Sailboats located in Houston, Texas. Their boats ranged from a 15' to atleast a 29', I don't recall if they had any larger. Their manufacturing facility was near where I lived, so I would go in quite often. These boats were designed for bay sailing mostly. As far as i know, they went out of business in the late 70's or early 80's. I have only seen one in recent years.Did a Google and found someone else asking the same thing. Thanks for the starting point in Texas and the contact looking for the same information. As I learn more I will share with all. Although the boat appears to be solid I would agree it is more of a bay sailer.Thanks again for your response.
