On an 28' Oday day sailer, is the engine's drive train a saildrive type or straight shaft. We have a Universal diesel inboard. Does anyone know the answer?
Does the prop and driveshaft look like the photo? That's a saildrive type. A shaft drive has a long shaft that exits the bottom of the boat at a shallow angle and has the prop on the end. You'll have a strut in there as well supporting the shaft on the outside of the hull.
