272LE Purchase pending, ADVICE??

I just wrote a contract on a 87 272LE that is in pristine shape except for signs of non-use. Yep, he barely used it so Im wondering if there is anything in particular I can look for that may indicate trouble. The diesel fired up immediately and ran very smooth. The only signs of wear are from multiple rain leaks on the head liner which seems to be a common problem on this boat from what I have read. I am having it surveyed Nov 7th and have to make a decision by the 10th. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Jeff,If you're still looking for information about the 272 LE, I wrote a review of the 272 which is basically the same boat (except for wheel steering). Go to ODO Home and click on "Review Your Boat". On the resulting page, click on "ODay 272" and also on "owner reviews". On the ODay 272 page click on "Oday 272 owner reviews". You'll also find 7 or 8 other folks who own 272's (all '86 models at this time) and you can e-mail them to get some more opinions.It's a great boat!!!Tom Ehmke
