I have a '79 C-27 and can stand upright in it under the hatch. I am 6'4" tall. If you move out of the way of the hatch, you will have to stoop a little (2 inch difference), but I still find the boat to be comfortable. If height is your consideration, I would move forward with aquiring one of these boats - they are great. I had my tall rig out today in 20 mph winds with a single reef and she pointed and reached beautifully!Best Regards, Rob Rich
I could not stand anywhere except under the hatch. On my 30 I can stand anywhere. Some 30s have recessed floors like mine and some don't so the headroom is closer to 6feet. I really enjoyed my old 27. It is an excellent boat for one or two people and a breeze to sail alone.
I'd estimate it's 6'4" under the hatch down to about 5'10" at the v-berth. At 6'2", I just learn to duck a bit when going forward.Paul Emley"TESS", #14331974, Dinnette, outboardVancouver, B.C., Canada
at 6'2" there's enough under the hatch in a 1977 and then some, after that start ducking. I think in the 80's they made the floor flatter which raised it up a bit and lost headroom.
