260 Fold Down helm seat.

I was wondering if anyone has thought of this or seen one for purchase...The main thing I have noticed on my new 260 is that it is difficult to *sit* at the helm becuase of visibility. I was thinking today that maybe there would be a way to make a fold down "helm stern rail seat."Does anyone see a problem with this idea? Would the rail support me at 180 lbs?Darren

Before you consider that route, I suggest purchasing a 4 inch high cushion from Ameriseam. You can purchase this throught the Chandlrey but again suggest the four inch or even better a 6 inch. IT is snapped in place on the seat.In years past on the old style 26, I did make helmsman seats using a modified stern rail seat but if you take my suggestion as indicated in the above paragragph, you should find that will solve the problem.Keep in touch.Crazy Dave Condon

great photo!

looks very professional, too. I use a cooler to sit on, whick looks hokey ( but very convenient for refrshments. i doubt cushions would work, as you need at least the height you're showing on the photo. Now I've added another project to my list!
