I bought a Hunter 26.5 about six month ago and am wondering why their are so few boats of this model and why the only specs that I see show them to be powered by small outboards. My boat ha an inboard yanmar diesel, A/C, Hot and cold pressure water, etc. Does anyone know if these were standard items or add ons? There is a sticcker in the salon that says "Cruise Pac". Thanks Mark

They must be add-ons

We just bought a used 26.5 and our's doesn't have any of your stuff. Of all the 26.5's I researched, neither did they. Does yours have a tillar?

No tiller.........

It has wheel stearing. Do you know if Hunter made any special models for cruising?

tiller

I also have a 26.5.vintage(1987). It has none of the things you mentioned.Would be interested in knowing how the wheel steering works. Don't you lose your through transom access. Would love to get rid of the tiller. really limits the seating in the cockpit. I added aftermarket stern rail seats and that helped some

wheel stearing

The pedesal is about two feet forward of the transome and we do have walk around it when entering from the stern. We think it is worth it. It is an edson stearing system. It has bee my experience that edson has kits for just about any production boat to up grade to wheel stearing. Mark s/v Crosswind
