My 240 O'day Roller Furhling no one at the marina knows about it I believe it is the original one that came with the boat. The ropes are a mess and I would like some rigging instructions or useful info on how it works. Does anyone have info or website. Alan budwiser1@fuse.net

Well -

Alan - We'd love to help you but we need a bit more than that. Are there any markings on the thing at all? Can you describe it? Justin - O'day Owners' Web

The name of the Furhling system.....

The name is Flexible Furhler...my boat is a 1989 240 O'day. I have pictures that I can send you, just e-mail me. There is no other writting on the furhler. Alan ps: I have been told that it might be pre cruise desing inc. if this helps.

Flexible Furler

CDI makes the Flexible Furler. The CDI furling system was standard on many of the ODay models. There have been upgrades to the system and you may be interested in the improvements along with information about the system parts. The web address for CDI is http://www.sailcdi.com/ . Check it out. I have contacted CDI a couple of times to get replacements and upgrades for the furling system on my ODay 272 and have been pleased with the service. They sent me the entire manual for the various systems to help me sort out which one was on my boat and from there I ordered parts. Needless to say, parts are not cheap... but they are available usually as upgrades. I don't know the telephone number offhand, but CDI advertises in most sailing magazines. Tom
