I purchased a new 2002 240 in May and by now the interior cushions within the seats need to be replaced with cushions which are firmer. Myself and ohters(average weight 170 or so) have used the seats frequently but they never were very firm. I am curious where I might go to get a good quality (firm) cushion sent to me? Thanks for your help.....

Gary: You can go to any upolstery shop and have them restuff your cushions. You may want to consider having 2 inches of high density foam on the bottom and 2 inches of softer foam on the top. It will be the same thickness but keep you from bottoming out. Where are you located?

There is a new seat foam product available that youn might want to look at. It is called NU-FOAM and reports to be durable in a marine environment. I'm not sure if firm enough, but you could add a layer of ensolite closed cell foam as a bottom layer. They are both top-o-the line, so not cheap. Nu-foam can be found at fabric stores, try camping supply for ensolite. You could do the work yourself, easily. Good Luck in your search.

Patoka Lake is located in South Central Indiana near Jasper. It is nearly 9000 acres and since it is controlled by the Corp of Engineers there is no shoreline development allowed. As a consequence it is a beautiful pristine lake with a uninterrupted shoreline of trees. Hoosier Hills Marina is located on the southwestern side of the lake and there is temporary slips available. Come and visit, my 240 is easy to spot since it is the only one on the Lake. Patoka Lake is underutilized and therefore is excellent for sailing...

Gary, We are going to be up there the weekend of 11/16. Are you at the Marina? Would like to see your boat. We did a little sailing there about 4 years ago. It was my reintroduction to the wonderful world of sailing.Went on someone elses boat. The trip was arranged thru the Dept of Natural Resources. They had a sort of open house.
