I have been in touch with a couple of folks re: 240 leaks not found. After some discussion, they felt it was coming from the transom.
First, the rub rail insert had pulled back. To remedy this, simply take off and pull it back to origianl length and reinsert. done.
However, at the end of the rub rail on the transom appears to be a flimsy repair by the previous owner. I told them to remove the putty or caulk to investigate and report back to me what they see.
However, I told them to remove the rub rail at the water line and remove old caulk under neath the base and recaulk with 5200 and the screws as well but again to look to see if anything else. In addition, I told them to look at the hull to deck joint for any cracking and instructed them what to do and to repair.
What tipped me off was the fact more water comes in with people in the cockpit vs. no one on board the boat.
