Have been looking for a 235 around $10,000. Maryland broker has one whose headliner has peeled and is being reattached. Claims this is a consistent 235 problem. Is it? What's the best adhesive?

yes it is a weak spot in an otherwise soild

boat, unfortunately. My F235 was coming undone along the top edge, so I re-glued mine with weldwood contact cement along the top edge. Seems to hold pretty good, but if the foam backing is gone you will see where it was glued if you look close. Now the bottom is coming undone, so I'm thinking about another solution. I'm thinking of getting some wood strips that match the interior wood and screwing them on top of the headliner at the top and bottom edge and let the middle float. The top edge has space for a screw in the inner roof fiberglass liner, so if you use the right size screws, you won't go through the outer glass hull. I haven't investigated the bottom edge yet to see if there is something to screw into other than the hull. Frederick, I'm thinking about doing what your doing; getting a trailer for my F235 and trucking it to Maine (and other places) for cruising. I'm talking with Triad also. I can't decide whether to get the trailer or just slip it in Connecticut ( 2 1/2 hours from my home ) and cruise out of there. Looks like your on the ocean already and your looking to go trailerable, what gives? tired of the same old haunts? There is a number of us F235 owners that hang out here, let us know what you decide to get.
