23 - wing or swing ?

Ok, I've read a LOT more since my first post :+)Was the Hunter 23 (1985) made with a swing or wing keel ?Seems like some have wings and some swings...

The first run of 23s had a funny looking keel that was both a wing and a swing. You may want to stay away from a swing it was'nt a very good design. They only made about 20 boats with this keel, and was areal problem. They than made all of the boats with the wing keel. But with 2 different sets of spreaders. 27" and 36" it does make a difference on performance.

What is spread ?

So what is a spread ?It seemed when I last looked the depth was about 2 feet from the bottom of the boat...
