I need to replace the rudder spacers and found them here at the ships store . It mentions a rudder gasket material that is not available but can be found at auto supply stores . Not sure what it is I need for this or where it goes . My rudder in being buried under a half foot of snow today . Lastly this site sells the line that controls the rudder as well . I will replace this but am wondering if there is something special about the rudder line that is sold here versus something from WM or the like .$45.00 sounds high for 16 ft of line . What am I missing here . Prices for running rigging which I also need to replace have prices that look reasonable .

Does the rubber gasket material go between the plastic shims and the metal ?
Thank you brian. It also helped to clamp the rudder in place when tightening the rudder via the tension bolt.
