Can anyone tell me the diameter of the sail battens on the Hunter 23.5 original Doyle sail ? Thank you.

I have a 25.5 Hunter with 25' luff on the main sail. If it helps you any I was unable to find the original battens for my sail either. I went to a bicyle store and baught a fibeglass flagpole that kids use on their bikes that is 8' tall. I cut it and used as battten. It works well. Try it.
I lost all my main battens when the velcro fasteners failed, I contacted Doyle Chesapeake (410)263-4840. They were able to provide the correct replacement battens as well repairing the velcro fasteners. The battens are about 1 inch wide.

I just measured them last week, after I lost the 2nd from the head on my '93 23.5. They are 5/8" wide & about 1/8" thick. Sailrite sells the batten stock, and you can cut it to lenght. There are little plastic caps that fit over the ends to allow them to slide into the pockets more easily.
