Cabin size and performance.

Rod, We have a 80 catalina 22 and to the best of my knowledge the Capri uses the same basic hull with a much smaller cabin and is designed for primary day sails and racing. I could be wrong but that is what we were told.Our 22 is one heck of a lot of fun to single hand and is a very spritly performer. We usually place in the top 25% in the races we run on weekends. If you want to campout for 2 to 3 days the mkII is a very good boat.Ray

So what then is the reason for the new sport 22? It's not faster than the Capri and not roomier than the mk II
