22 Capri Mainsail Question

I have a 1997 22' Capri Tall Rig. The mainsail is worn out and needs to be replaced. I have found a slightly used mainsail for a J 24 at a very reasonable price. This sail seems to have almost the same demintions as my existing mainsail. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Go for it!

I raced against a J24 (so said the sail anyway) that looked an awful lot like a C22 the other day. As long as the dimensions are close, I say go for it. You may want to negotiate a return if it doesn't fit before you buy it, just in case.New(er) sails = faster sailing!Trevor
