After almost giving up on a workable swimming/boarding ladder for the 216, I found a telescopic ladder being sold on Ebay by Outlaw Marine Surplus.I got the 4-step model ( they also have a 3 step ladder). It was about $140.It's GREAT! Heavy-duty stainless steel construction. I have it mounted to the rear step about 8" to the starboard side of the motor mount. In the up and stowed position, it leans against the transom and doesn't try to fall down, even when trailering. To deploy it, you just tip it over.I bolted it through the top of the step with 5/16" stainless bolts and Nylock nuts, with aluminum plates on the underside. I had to put a 1/2" thick spacer on the port side mount to get the ladder somewhat more vertical due to the upward curve of the step as it moves away from the hull centerline. There was no problem crawling back inside the hull to hold the plates and nuts while my wife tightened the bolts from the outside. It is VERY easy to climb back aboard now when returning from a swim.Try it...You'll LIKE it!Bob
