I am today brand new to this forum and will appreciate any advice available about the Catalina 16.5. I am considering the purchase of a used 2000 Catalina 16.5 with galv. trailer, roller furling jib for $8884 from an established dealer in Cincinnati, Ohio. Is this a reasonable price for a like-new boat? If purchased, should I have the dealer to add bottom paint to it before purchase? I am also considering a used 2000 Hunter 170 comparably equipped for $4995. Any comments on the comparative quality of these boats and which would be the best buy? Thanks again eveyone! ron
