I know it's a little early to be talking about this ... but here goes
anyway
Putting flags on the map from the last two years attendees (except
those who drove from far away)it appears the greatest north-south
distance is about 90 miles (Seattle to White Rock).

Splitting this distance in half (about 45 miles) puts one at Port
Townsend, which is my suggestion for next year's get together. It's
about a 30 mile trip from the San Juan Islands, 40 from Bellingham,
45 from Seattle, 45 from White Rock, and 40 from Victoria.
People who wish to trailer their boats from afar have several good
choices for launching, including right at Port Townsend. I understand
there are also camping facilities available, as well as lots of pubs
and restaurants. It's a busy place, so we'd have to check Port
Townsend's calendar to pick a weekend that would guarantee us dock
space. The wooden boat festival fills both marinas every year, so that
weekend (Sept. 12-14) would not work.
Calendar:
PTguide Port Townsend, WA - Error 404
We're headed over to the Wooden Boat Festival this September.

If there is some interest in this location I could approach both
marinas to inquire about making reservations.
I think someone mentioned Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, as a possible
choice. This would mean at least a two day journey (three for some) to
get there, and the same to return home.
We have lots of time to kick different locations around and come up
with ideas. Any and all feedback will be appreciated.
