I noticed the starboard side of my traveler on my 2008 B43 is pulling up and is loose. Has anyone had any experience with a fix? I would imagine the traveler rail is bolted under the cabin sole? Any insight would be appreciated.

I presume the 34 traveler mounts on supports similar to my 37 traveler pictured here?

If so then yes I think it’s bolted through the deck into the cabin roof. I’ve never accessed that area but I think you’d need to take down the ceiling liner in that section and the nuts should be right there. Other things like the winches are just bolted through the ceiling the same way. Beneteau seems to have done a decent job of using solid fiberglass in these areas, no core to rot, so hopefully once you open it up it’s just as simple as tightening some nuts, no structural issues.

If possible, check with your dealer and review the Beneteau website and online parts diagrams. I had a similar problem with the deck orgranizer located further forward, and it ended up being a problem with an embedded barrel nut located in the raised portion of the deck that it is located on. Not a fun fix for me, but it has held fine for me for several years now.

I have a 2009 40 and I am starting to get a few leaks on the topside. I took one of my railings off anf found that the sealant is dried out and no longer flexible. So just giving a heads up. If the liner section exposes any other hardware, I would consider rebedding those items at the same time. I am planning to start rebedding all my deck hardware over the next couple years, regardless if they are leaking or not.
