If you liked Beneteau and you liked new versus used, and you are going to live aboard, with some coastal cruising, and you have only two on board usually except for ocean time, and you had the $ with nothing else to do with it (not really), would you go 46 or 49 in the new oceanis series?

Greg : It depends where your cruising ground is... If your on the Pacific side, go as big as you can afford. If you're going to be doing the east coast...ICW, Bahamas & the Keys...then keep the keel to 5ft & the stick under 62ft off the water. Based on that citeria...not to mention ALL the details from the other satisfied owners on the Yahoo list...my vote goes to the 423. So far

Thanks Paul, I am hoping that the West Coast from AK to Mexico are my future cruising grounds. I would go with the deep keep on either one. I would save a bunch of money on the 423, but living aboard is a bit cramped for my style. I was hoping to find someone who had crawled around on these two at a show so far. Greg

Go big...
Greg : If keel depth & mast height are not a concern...go big. Go for the 49, or even the 523 if you can. Just be sure to set up a website so we can keep track of you & perhaps someday you'll be earning a place in the Beneteau Hall of Fame. Good luck to you !! P.
