Hope to make it

With Reefpoint being my home marina, I hardly have any excuse not to make it. (Short of all the other summertime activities and conflicts!) We're trying to get our schedule cleared to be up at the boat that weekend. As soon as the Admiral gives an all-clear on the calendar, we'll get our reservation in ASAP. T J

The Hook

Actually, the week after the rendezvous, we'll be doing the Hook Race to Door County and then a 5 day cruise back to Racine. We're racing with adult crew, but then kicking them off and cruising back with the kids. That's one of the things we don't see a lot of is cruising families. T J

Long race,

Have fun. Friends of ours do the Hook. Too much for us. We like our cruises in smaller segments. We hope to go to the Tall Ship rally in Chicago in August. We hope to make it in two 8-hour days with favorable winds. Drop by the Rendezvous. You will probably score some accessories for the race. Look forward to meeting you.

Rip - Hook, Queens, etc

Rip - I'll look for you at the Rendezvous. We're off on the Queen's Cup this weekend as a warmup for the Hook. We may run into you at SSYC. And then the Hook at the end of July. We did the Mac last year and thorougly enjoyed it, but the Admiral wanted to see the Wisconsin side of the lake this summer, so Hook it is. I'd like another shot at the Mac next year. From what I've heard, the Hook is a great race, not as cut-throat as the Mac, but competitive and fun. Hope the stories are true. T J

Big party at the Queens Cup

but turn out seems a little lower than usual. Drop by slip D34 and say hi. We are not doing the Queens Cup this year. We will be going out for a race sponsored by MAST tonight. I will keep an eye out for Silent Voice.

LMHSA Rendezvous and Cruise

The annual LMHSA Rendezvous and follow on cruise are the highlights of our sailing season on Lake Michigan. We see old friends and make new ones at the Rendezvous. Sharing the experience of the cruise that follows makes memories to cherish during the cold Chicago winter.
