2006 Hunter 45 CC Companion Way Hatch

Has anyone experienced a problem with the acyrlic companion way hatch in the new Hunter 45 CC"s, where the bungee cords (1 on each side) that keep the hatch from falling all the way down have broken? Has anyone ever had to replace tha acrylic hatch piece itself? The cords on our's broke, letting the acyrlic hatch piece slide donw, breaking off a large piece of the bottom corner.

Any help would be appreciated

We have a 2008, Ours broke right off the bat. (We're hard on things) We had the broker, H&S, fix it as it was still in warranty when it broke, and we live out of town. Ours is held up with spring steel coils, one on each side. As the hatch goes down, the coil uncoils. Looks like they wouldn't be too hard to fix. You should be able to replace the hatch by removing the floor panel in the cockpit in front of the hatch. The scuppers are under the floor panel.
