2005 Hunter 33 batteries

Anyone installed golf cart batteries in their 33?

Right now I have 2 group 27 and 1 engine battery underneath the starboard settee. Looking to install 4 golf cart batteries for house bank but wondering if I'll be able to fit them in. Anyone else done this and where did you fit them all.

The golf cart batteries were to tall for the settee on the 326, the settee was an inch to short. Went with 2 GP 31 for the house and GP 24 for the start, just fit.

Hi Scott,

I am not sure if this will help but I just replaced the Trojan SCS 225 batteries in my 2006. These batteries are 9 7/8" high. The access lid just closes with the batteries in the battery boxes. I am guessing that there is maximum 10 1/4" of height clearance.

If the GC batteries are any taller you may have an issue. On the other hand, the base could be removed and reworked to increase the available height.
