My 2004 Hunter 33 has only one 30 amp shore power cord. The next model up, the Hunter 36, has two 30 amp inputs, one for A/C and one for everything else. I have had problems with overloads when running everything at the same time. I have A/C, microwave, hot water heater, battery charger and outlet breakers. Most recenly, I had to turn off the A/C to heat water in the water heater. Has anyone had similar problems? Does Hunter need to provide two shore power connections on the 33 like the 36?

The dealer should have advised you on the power needs of your boat. He should have an answer for you. If he doesn't take the problem to Hunter.

Dealer shoud add

My new 36 had only one plug until the dealer addes air conditioning. Then they replaced electrial panel and added second plug.

Shore Power

My H37.5 also came with only one 30 amp outlet. It is not a difficult b job to install another 30 amp circuit. I have no electrical training and was able to complete the job in less than a day. All you need is another receptacle (mounted next to the existing one), enough wire to complete the run, and a panel.(I used a 4 switch panel from Paneltronics) Total cost was less than $200. OBTY, you will need 50amps dockside and a splitter. Good Luck.

two 30 amp connections

My shore side box has two 30 amp receptacles. So, could I just plug in two cords?

My Hunter 28 has 2

30 amp services. You really need two but it is cheaper to run one!

When you order factory air from Hunter the boat comes equipped with two 30 amp circuits. One for the air and one for everything else.
