Im looking to buy a 260, Its in great shape above the water line. It has sit in fresh water since 2006. It was bottom painted before it was launched. It has lots of pimple like places between the bottom paint and gel coat. They pop like a pimple. I washed it with my pressure washer and most of them popped. The bow eye is loose also. This is the first time the bow eye has been used. The owner actually don't know much about it. It was his dads and no-one had been on it in years.

Take a closer look and make sure they are between the paint and gel coat. If it is just the old paint bubbling off, you just need to sand and re-paint with an appropriate anti-fouling paint. If the blisters are actually below the gelcoat, and the gelcoat is raised, then you have a much bigger job. If you see fiberglass in the popped blisters, then they are osmotic blisters. You can search here or google osmotic blisters- there is tons out there on this common problem.
I’m going to sand a little on them and see today. The paint washed off pretty easy, actually it wiped off by hand. It was fresh water it was sitting in. Thank you for your help
