2004 41 AC Hex key size for Tiller lever

I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the hex key to remove the tiller lever? The tiller lever is at the top of the rudderpost and allows for the draglink connection along with a connection for the auto pilot. I seem to have excess play in the top bearing, and need to get the tiller lever off so I can measure the bearing clearance for possible replacement.

The bolt looks like it might be 3/8 or 1/2 inch hex, but it might be metric too. Any experience would be appreciated. I have a composite rudder stock. Attached is the pdf from the manual.

Long shot............contact the pedestal manufacturer (Lewmar?) for the dimension OR buy a few sizes and return the one(s) that do/does not fit for a refund.

Pretty sure this is a hunter manufactured part. I know I could buy all the keys in SAE and Metric, but I was hopping someone had already done this job.

Maybe one of your marina neighbors has a tool kit with lots of keys.
