Calling all experience from the forums....

Just found out our aft holding tank has a major leak (into the bilge) and needs replacement.

Wondering if anyone had seen this or had this repaired on a H456??

We just bought the boat in May and no issues identified in the survey. All systems worked fine on delivery from Maryland to Miami from 22 May to now. Three days ago a smell emitted from bilge...thought it was stale water/sludge from being on the hard for 18 months.

If anyone has experience this, we would appreciate any comments, including repairs made, cost, etc.

Don't mess with it if it is really the tank that is leaking.

You may contact the folks at SBO store and see if they have a source for the OEM tank. If not you may want to check out the Ronco Plastics website for a tank that will fit.

What material is your current tank made from?

I would also suggest that you change the hoses too.
