I am considering the purchase of a 2000 Hunter 380. Any input about the good, the bad, and the ugly appreciated.

I have a 2000 Hunter 380. I love the boat. My wife does also. But, docking in a strong crosswind blows the bow away from the dock. I installed an external bow thruster. I did the install myself. Spent 5k for the 24 volt unit. Awsome to be able to spin the boat and lay it against the dock. The 380 sails like a dream. In mast furling works great. No better sailing boat out there in my opinion.
My wife and I bought a 2000 Hunter 380 this year and spent 4 weeks on it. It is is great boat and easy to sail. The cock pit is where we spend most of our time and is spacious and very comfortable. It also sails very well in medium winds, a little slow in light wind. You will enjoy it very much.
We bought a 2000 Hunter 380 back in May. So far, very happy with it. Spent 3 weeks straight on it going to the 1000 Islands. Very comfortable for my wife, 2 kids and I all that time. One thing I really want to get for it, is a cruising gennaker. I find it pretty slow and sloppy going downwind without one.
We sail in Georgian Bay and compared to the Niagara 31 I had it is slower in light winds so a gennaker should make a big difference. I'm wondering if you could take some pictures of your spreaders and shrouds. According to the manual, the diamonds (they run from the spreaders down and attach to the mast) are to be located behind the intermediate shrouds (they run from the mast down to the spreaders) upper and lower but they are touching with some tension and I a concerned there will be some damage as a result of that. The outside shrouds are really tight (again according to the manual) but I'm wondering if I have them too tight. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks
