Hi All, I put my 2000 Hunter 340 on the market (San Diego). The broker is asking me when the last time the heat exchangers were serviced. The engine seems to be running fine. If you were me, what would you do?
Never had that question come up a s buyer or seller. Respond to the broker that the heat exchangers have not been serviced BUT the engine runs fine. Buyer is welcome to pay for an engine survey after a sea trial and if the engine survey while running for 30 minutes at full rpm detects overheating then the buyer will know that the heat exchanger might have to be serviced (removed and cleaned) and since it is normal maintenance that will be on the buyer.
