Opened the roof access panel. Noticed 2 terminal strips. 1 had heavy gauge wire for the mast top light. Other terminal strip had very small wire 18 or 20 gauge with no markings. Does anyone know what these wires are for? Thanks.

Hello,

I'm 99.9% sure those wires are for a masthead wind transducer. My boat has a box and terminal strip just like that, with the same color wires. Since it looks like that's the end of the line (since nothing's connected to the other side of the terminal strip), I'm assuming you don't have a wind indicator... so, someone probably either prewired the mast for the transducer, or prewired from the mast base to the companionway instrument location.
