Our 1999 Beneteau 381 has the two factory installed AC Cruisair units. Fwd one is 12000 BTU and the main vent is in the salon and has a smaller vent in the fwd cabin. The aft unit is 7000 BTU and the main vent is in the rear cabin with a smaller vent into the main salon by the stove. With both units going, we can get to boat very cool if needed on a hot day. Reverse cycle heat in the fall and spring is very efficient and we usually only run the main unit when needed. If the boat is near you, maybe the owner can have the AC running when you view the boat or at least provide you some feedback on how well it works. A good AC unit was a critical item for the Admiral in our purchase (we are 15 mi south of Annapolis).I'm looking at a 2000 381 and it is listed with a single 11000 btu ac have other people found that to be sufficient??
Also I've been told to look for the ones with yanmars is the westebeke equal ??
