I'm looking for someone who has extended there stock wood outboard bracket. I have a Honda 9.9 with remote controls. The problem is the control cables hit on the starboard side when I turn. What I plan on doing during the fall is using a connecting rod setup between the rudder and outboard. I've seen a couple of post awhile back but can't seem to find them. Any help would be app. My second question is a little easier. I'm looking for a good canvas shop[to make a Bimini for my 26] I'm in Ocean County in New Jersey Thanks In Advance, Pat

Motor Mount extension

The wooden factory motor mount was not long eneough to allow full movement of my outboard with the tiller handle down. You had to leave it up at a 45 deg angle to be able to turn the motor. I had a stainless steel motor mount fabricated and bolted to the boat in place of the factory mount. I used the same bolt holes and sealed with 5200. Has been in use for two years and has worked great. The only ploblem is that it changes the balance of the boat when trying to trailer. E-mail me at rwheel@ix.netcom.com if you need to know how the mount was constructed. Randy

RE: Bimini

Pat, I would recommend contacting Ameriseam for the bimini. They're located near the Hunter factory and have great products. I bought my bimini from them this year and it fit perfectly. Price was around $400. Good luck, Jim Covey s/v Wampeter
