I'm winterizing a 1GM10 (no fresh water cooling) and thinking 2 gallons should be good. How does that sound ? This is in Canada so it needs to be full strength !

sounds marginal.
The only sure way to check is to catch what is coming out of the exhaust and verify that it is full strength.
I use about 20 l (5 small containers from The Chandlery) to make sure.

The trick is making sure the thermostat was open when you flushed the antifreeze through. If in doubt, open the block drain and just drain the block.
