1993 Hunter33.5 Origo stove info. needed.

I am re-bying my Hunter 33.5 that I sold over 3 years ago, the owner has left the state.
For reasons that are complicated, I can't get to see the boat again until 10/10/13.

The Origo alcohol stove needs work on the top, flame defuser missing and there is more......

I'm looking for parts online, dont have the model other than it is gimbaled with a oven and two burners on top.

Anybody have a similar boat and stove ???

To Defuse or Not to.....

That's an Origo 6000 model. We have used the same range since '94. They're great!
We've baked cookies and rolls in the oven on ours.

The piece of metal over each burner was added by their attorneys sometime in the 90's to help discourage owners from trying to (foolishly!!) add more alcohol fuel thru the top.

There were some reported instances of "Darwinism" where owners would do that to a hot burner that had just gone out...
You'd think that people would know better, instinctively.

Yikes.


Anyhow, the burners work just fine without those stamped defusers, and you can source more from the stove vendor.

Ok appreciate it. The guy trashed the interior and the stove, I live 4 hours away and am looking for replacement parts, so I do appreciate your info.
